The 21 standard FTP port is used in Explicit FTP over TLS, just as it is in plain FTP. If your FTP server supports it, you can most likely use Port 50xxx as the range for data transfers. To meet this requirement, all outgoing connections must be allowed to pass through a firewall. Data connections are not permitted in an encrypted FTP session because it is incompatible with the firewall helpers that analyze the command. However, I am unsure of which port to use. On my computer, I can also see that the firewall is shutting down. “I am getting “ filezilla error: Failed to retrieve directory listing godaddy” errors from Filezilla, which I believe is a blocked port on my firewall.” I’ve attempted Port 22 21 990 and it didn’t work.
